Our Story
Welcome to Monarch Highway, where youth organizations are saving and restoring endangered Monarch Butterfly populations!

How it works: a simple strategy with big results
We approach local nonprofit organizations who own or rent land, share a presentation about monarchs, their endangered status, and how the nonprofit can help save them: by allowing a Monarch Highway volunteer team to install a Monarch Waystation on their site.

Who pays for it?
While our volunteer teams do the installation work, the plants must be sourced from a reputable garden supplier and purchased. Even a small, 10' by 10' Monarch Waystation, this can cost up to a hundred dollars.
If the nonprofit can afford to pay for the plants, that's great! If they can't, that's where you can step in with fundraising activities. That takes more time and effort but fundraising activities are a great way to get more people involved and create long lasting friendships.
Involve your local news media!
Well planned, fun fundraising activities are a great way to get your local new media involved in helping educate our communities about monarch butterflies, how they can help, and how they can support organizations like Monarch Highway!

Our organization focuses on conservation efforts, education, and raising awareness about the importance of preserving the monarch butterfly population. We believe in making a difference through dedicated work and unwavering dedication to the cause. Our team is comprised of experts in the field who are devoted to ensuring the survival of these magnificent creatures. We aim to stand out in our mission and show our visitors who we are - a team dedicated to protecting the monarch butterflies and their natural habitats.
This is how you can get Volunteer Hours
Any youth can set-up and be a leader in helping save monarch butterflies in their community. If you help join the cause, not only are you gonna learn so much and build so many monarch waystations in your community but you're gonna get some volunteer hours that could lead to the President's Volunteer Award.
These volunteer hours can also help you in your high school year if you have to do service in one of your classes. It’s easy volunteer hours and it’s helping our earth. You can get friends, family, people at your church, and your school involved in helping the monarch butterflies. The monarch butterflies can mostly count on you to help them.
